Revenue Share

AgentDeploy sellers earn from three revenue streams. This page explains how each works and how to track your earnings.

Revenue streams

1. Template sales — 70% to seller

When a buyer purchases your template, you get 70% of the sale price. The platform keeps 30%.

Your template: $9.99
Your share: $6.99 (70%)
Platform: $3.00 (30%)

This is a one-time payment processed via Stripe at the time of purchase. Funds appear in your Stripe Connect balance immediately.

2. Hosting subscription revshare — 25% to seller

When a buyer pays their monthly hosting subscription (Starter $29, Pro $79, Business $249), you get 25% of net revenue if the buyer has your agent(s) deployed.

Net revenue = subscription price minus estimated infrastructure costs (default 50%).

Buyer on Pro plan: $79/month
Infrastructure cost: ~$39.50 (50%)
Net revenue: $39.50
Seller pool (25%): $9.88

If the buyer has 2 of your agents and 2 from another seller:
Your share: $4.94/month (50% of the seller pool)
Other seller: $4.94/month

This is calculated on each billing cycle renewal and added to your pending balance. After a 7-day hold period, it becomes payable and is batched into a Stripe Connect transfer.

3. Token overage markup — 10% to seller

When a buyer exceeds their plan's token allowance, they pay per-token overage charges. The markup (charge minus actual LLM cost) is split 10% to you, 90% to the platform.

Buyer exceeds token allowance:
Amount charged to buyer: $2.00
Actual LLM cost: $1.20
Markup: $0.80
Your share (10%): $0.08

This is calculated per-request in the LLM gateway and accumulated in real-time.

How payments work

Stripe Connect

All payments flow through Stripe Connect. You must:

  1. Complete Stripe Connect onboarding (Dashboard > Seller > Payouts)
  2. Have your bank account verified
  3. Enable payouts in your Stripe dashboard

Once set up, payments are automatic:

  1. Revenue accumulates in the marketplace_revshare_ledger
  2. After 7-day hold, pending rows become payable
  3. Payable rows are batched into a marketplace_payout_batch
  4. The batch is transferred to your Stripe Connect account via API
  5. Stripe handles the bank transfer on their standard schedule (2-day rolling)

Commission rates (env-configurable)

Maximizing revenue

  1. Build agents people keep deployed. Hosting revshare is recurring monthly revenue — an agent that stays deployed generates income every billing cycle.
  2. Optimize token usage. Lower token consumption means buyers stay within their plan limits longer, but when they do exceed, the markup revshare adds up.
  3. Create packages. Bundle multiple templates into a marketplace package for higher-value sales.
  4. Keep agents updated. New versions trigger buyer notifications, which keeps your agents top-of-mind and deployed.
  5. Get an A scan rating. Verified Secure templates rank higher in the marketplace and convert better.
